“When you are playing with different people, you need one guitar to satisfy as much variety as possible. You need the variety. These humbuckers still have the Classic S sound but at the same time have the option of a bigger fatter sound. After playing a set of Pete Thorn’s pickups that I loved, I wanted to take the low-middle area and increase it up a little bit because when you have a hum in the bridge, it could get super bright. Sound wise, it’s what we were looking for. I just love having a humbucker in my signature model.”
